An Official Starfield PS5 Announcement Is Not Coming Until 2026, Claims Insider

The long-rumoured PS5 version of Starfield is not going to be made official until next year, according to respected leaker NateTheHate.

When asked by a follower on X about any update regarding the PS5 edition of Bethesda’s sci-RPG, Nate replied, “believe the announcement will be in 2026 unless plans change.” Previously, the leaker had stated that Starfield for PS5 was still on the cards, but its launch ‘may have slipped a touch later than originally planned.’

Back in August, MP1st reported that Starfield is set to arrive for Sony’s platform in Spring 2026 alongside the game’s second expansion, and will benefit from various quality-of-life improvements. Tom Warren from The Verge had previously suggested that Starfield would be released for the PS5 later this year, although that now looks very unlikely.

Starfield was originally published for PC and Xbox Series X/S in September 2023.
