Each week, Circana analyst Mat Piscatella shares data that reveals the top 15 titles in the US ranked by total weekly active users across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The lists come from Circana's Player Engagement Tracker, and to be sure, this tracks weekly active users, not concurrent users.
Which games were the most popular for the week that ended December 6?
On PS5 and Xbox, Fortnite took the top spot, while Arc Raiders was No. 1 on Steam in the US. Other popular titles for the past week included Call of Duty HQ (comprising Black Ops 7 and Warzone), along with GTA 5 Remastered, Roblox, Battlefield 6, and sports games.
One new release, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, reached No. 11 on the Xbox charts, presumably due in part to it being available on Xbox Game Pass. It didn't reach the Top 15 on Steam or PS5.
Another notable move is how Red Dead Redemption jumped from 221 to 13 on the PS5 charts, presumably due to the debut of the new version of the game released on December 2. The game was also added to PS Plus, which no doubt helped boost the numbers.
