KOEI TECMO America and Omega Force have revealed the first major DLC plans for their tactical action hit, DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS. Titled ‘Visions of Four Heroes’, the upcoming expansion is set to launch on January 22, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The DLC introduces new storylines, weapons, and gameplay updates that further expand the chaos of the Three Kingdoms.
Visions of Four Heroes explores fresh narratives through four major figures. They are Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, and Lu Bu. These “What If” scenarios reimagine key moments of their lives, offering players a deeper look into their ambitions and choices. New companions will join the battlefield along the way, including Zhuhe, the Guardian of Peace; Diaochan, the returning warrior known for her elegance and skill; and a mysterious officer whose identity the story gradually reveals.
The DLC also adds two new weapons, the Bow and the Rope Dart, each introducing new combat mechanics suited for the series’ trademark large-scale battles. The developers have enhanced the existing weapon as well, featuring new arts, skill panels, and higher trait level caps. A new Training Ground mode will challenge players to refine their abilities against powerful opponents.
Players who pre-order the expansion will receive the exclusive Yellow Turban Attire, a special outfit inspired by the rebellion that shaped the saga’s origins.
DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Visions of Four Heroes will release simultaneously across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, on January 22, 2026, featuring both Japanese and English voice options.
