Campfire Cooking in Another World: Every Monster Mukoda Has Eaten So Far, Ranked

Mukoda’s journey in Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill has been anything but boring, thanks to his unique skill, Net Super (or Online Supermarket). With this ability, he has created dozens of exquisite dishes throughout his time in this new Isekai world, using monster meat from this world but combining it with ingredients from modern Japan.

Although Mukoda has eaten many monsters (mostly thanks to Fel, who captured them), not all of them have been used for cooking. Some may not be edible at all. Whatever the reason, the ones he has cooked and fed to his three familiars, Fel, Sui, and Dora-chan, are quite a lot. Based on their monster rank or rarity, here’s a ranked list of creatures Mukoda has cooked up so far.

12. Horn Rabbit

Horn Rabbits are pretty low on the power scale. Honestly, they’re so weak compared to other monsters in the anime that we don’t even get to see Fel or anyone bother taking them down.

Mukouda mostly uses Horn Rabbit meat for simple, comforting dishes. In the anime, he cooks things like grilled Horn Rabbit, fried cutlets, and other homestyle meals that really highlight how tender and tasty the meat is.

11. Red Boar

In the early episodes of Campfire Cooking, Mukoda cooks a Red Boar he managed to get thanks to the adventurer party escorting him. They took it down during the trip, giving him his first real chance to experiment with monster meat.

Red Boars aren’t exactly scary, after all; a normal C-rank party handled it without trouble. Mukoda then took over and, surprising everyone, turned it into his first delicious dish in the Isekai world.

10. Rock Bird

Everyone in the party was pretty stunned when Mukoda casually asked Fel, the legendary Fenrir, to go hunt for some meat. And sure enough, way faster than anyone expected, Fel came back, dragging a whole Rock Bird.

In the early episodes, Rock Bird meat ends up on the menu several times since cooking it is basically the same as preparing regular chicken or any other bird. Simple process, great taste: perfect for Mukoda’s early recipes.

9. Giant Deer

Among the many monsters Fel wiped out, the Giant Deer was just another one on the list; definitely not a real challenge for him. It barely counted as an opponent with how easily Fel took it down.

Even though they didn’t eat it right after it was captured, Mukoda casually brings up using Giant Deer meat several episodes later in the anime, treating it like just another ingredient waiting its turn in his pantry.

8. Cockatrice

Cockatrice is one of the monster meats Mukoda ends up using the most, partly because Fel just brings them in on a whim. Whenever Fel feels like grabbing ingredients, a Cockatrice somehow ends up on the menu again.

As the name hints, its meat tastes a lot like regular chicken, which is why so many dishes in Campfire Cooking end up featuring Cockatrice. It’s easy to work with, familiar, and delicious nonetheless.

7. Bloody Hornbull

When they move in packs, their combined strength can get pretty dangerous. But at the end of the day, as their name suggests, they’re basically just the Isekai version of beef.

Mukoda even mentions that their meat tastes close to high-quality Japanese wagyu, which explains why Fel and Sui were more than happy to help capture them. And once they tried it, they loved the taste just as much.

6. Orcs, Orc General

Orcs show up early in the series, and Mukoda mentions that their meat tastes a lot like pork. But it wasn’t until they actually cooked the Orc General, the bigger, tougher leader, that things got really interesting.

According to Mukoda, the Orc General’s meat was basically premium pork. And, of course, the way he cooked it made it even more delicious, earning praise from everyone who tried it.

5. Black Serpent

Even in real life, snake meat is often said to taste like chicken, so when Fel brought back a few Black Serpents, Mukoda was unsure at first. But once he started cooking, he just treated it the same way he’d handle chicken.

The final dish was definitely tasty, but Black Serpent isn’t valuable only for its meat. Its skin has a high commercial value and is often used for clothing, making the monster a profit in more ways than one.

4. Venom Tarantula

Even though they were supposed to be a huge threat to one of the cities Mukoda visits, against Fel, the Venom Tarantula didn’t stand a chance and went down with just one lightning strike.

The best part, of course, was how Mukoda cooked them. They were basically like crabs, and their taste was just as good, or maybe even better, making them a real treat on the menu.

3. Red Serpent

A rarer cousin of the Black Serpent, the Red Serpent ended up being even tastier, even though the cooking process was basically the same. Mukoda didn’t need to do much to bring out its flavor.

Its skin, however, was a different story, because it’s one of the rarest items in the world. Mukoda sold it for a hefty reward, proving that some monsters are valuable for more than just their meat.

2. Wyvern

Now we’re talking about dragons, definitely a step up in power compared to most other monsters. Wyverns are especially tricky since they’re versatile and can actually fly, making them harder to catch.

But with Sui, Dora, and Fel on his side, Mukoda still took them down in no time. Their meat didn’t just go to the familiars; even Mukoda’s first party members got to try it, and everyone loved how delicious it was.

1. Earth Dragon

Without a doubt, the rarest and most valuable monster in Campfire Cooking is the Earth Dragon. Fel happened to catch one on a whim, and it turned out its meat was absolutely delicious, worth every bit of effort.

The Ellelund elf who helped process the meat also got a share and was over the moon about it. Sui later used its blood and liver to make a powerful elixir, while the remaining parts were sold for insanely high prices, making it one of the most profitable hunts ever.
